Welcome to the Drag Racers Association of Florence (D.R.A.F.) official website! The D.R.A.F. is based out of the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, but has members & supporters from all over the southeastern United States.
The 2009 drag racing season has seen a great deal of fun, new sponsorship, new members, and great success for the more than 100 members of D.R.A.F. In the 30 years of D.R.A.F., we have the largest amount of memberships in our club's history. Now we are looking forward to the 2010 season to make it an even better year of drag racing, fellowship, and supporting the community.
D.R.A.F. also proudly supports the Billie Hardee Home for Boys & the Children's Miracle Network. Drag racing is our passion, helping our community is our other.

DRAF general members meeting is the first Monday of every month, & the board meeting the last Monday of each month, 7:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. Meeting locations will be Angelo's in Florence, SC, unless otherwise noted.

If you have been racing in the Darlington area for at least 10 years then you should be familiar with another drag strip in the area that most people refer to as Little Darlington. When it closed down about 11 years ago, it was owned and operated by Tommy Hewitt. He ran the track from 1972 until 1999. He started his tenure there renting the track and operating it himself and was sanctioned by the IHRA. He eventually purchased the the property outright, becoming the sole owner.
